What this site is
Phoenix Pest Referral is an independent educational resource for homeowners in the Phoenix metro. It explains the pests that commonly cause trouble here, including bark scorpions, subterranean termites, roof rats, ants, cockroaches and crickets, along with how the seasons affect them, how Arizona licenses pest-control businesses, and what to ask before you hire.
The goal is simple: help you understand the job well enough to compare quotes, read a service agreement, and recognize a realistic promise from an unrealistic one. Each city page also covers what's different about pests in that part of the Valley, from desert-edge lots in north Scottsdale to older citrus neighborhoods in Mesa.
Information on this site comes from public sources, mainly the Arizona Department of Agriculture's Pest Management Division, University of Arizona Cooperative Extension, Maricopa County, and named national cost guides. Each page lists the sources it relied on. Rules, prices and programs change, so confirm anything important with the agency or company involved.

What this site is not
This site is not a pest-control company. It does not:
- inspect homes or identify pests on your property,
- apply treatments or perform exclusion work,
- recommend specific pesticides or products, or
- give medical advice. For a scorpion sting or other possible poisoning, call Poison Control at 1-800-222-1222.
The people behind this site are not licensed by the Arizona Department of Agriculture to perform pest control. Pest control in Arizona has to be done by a licensed business using certified applicators. You can verify any company with the steps in the license check guide.
How a provider listing would work
At some point, a licensed Arizona pest-control company may be listed on this site as a provider homeowners can contact. If that happens:
- The listing will be clearly labeled. You'll be able to tell which content is general information and which is about the listed company.
- The provider is an independent business. It sets its own prices, service terms, warranties and scheduling. Any agreement you make is between you and that company.
- The license will be checked first. Before listing a provider, this site will confirm that the business holds a current license with the Arizona Department of Agriculture's Pest Management Division, and will recheck it periodically.
- The guides stay the same. The questions to ask and the information on pages like pest control cost and general pest control apply to any company, including a listed one.
A listing would not be an endorsement of a company's work or a guarantee of results. Ask a listed provider the same questions you'd ask anyone else.

Privacy
Right now this site has no contact forms, accounts or sign-ups, and it does not run analytics, advertising or tracking scripts. If that changes, this page will say what's collected, why, and who receives it, before any collection starts.

Corrections
Pages are reviewed against their sources periodically, especially for Arizona regulations and local conditions, and corrected when something changes. Each page shows the date it was last updated.
Common questions
Is Phoenix Pest Referral a pest-control company?
No. This site does not inspect homes, identify pests on your property, apply treatments, or recommend pesticides or products. It isn't licensed to do pest control in Arizona and doesn't claim to be. Its pages explain common Phoenix-area pests, typical approaches and the questions to ask, so you can hire a licensed company yourself.
Will this site recommend a specific pest-control company?
Not at the moment. In the future, a licensed Arizona pest-control company may be listed here as a provider. If that happens, the listing will be clearly labeled, the company will be an independent business that sets its own prices and terms, and this site will check its Arizona license before listing it.
Does this site collect my information?
There are currently no contact forms on this site and it does not run tracking or advertising scripts. If that changes, for example if a provider listing adds a way to contact that company, this page will be updated to say what is collected and who receives it.
